Rajkot: All India Bank Employee’s Association will start a signature campaign against the tribulations suffered by the customers on account of the banks’ working policy. Association’s general secretary RD Trivedi told Express News Service that they have decided to collect one crore signatures under the campaign.
The association will collect signatures of 15 lakh customers from Saurashtra and Kutch. Among them, 1 lakh customers belong to Rajkot,” Trivedi said. This is the first-ever incident, in the last four decades, that bank employees are agitating. “The small account holders and borrowers have to bear an economic loss due to such kind of policies followed by the nationalised banks,” he said.
The nationalised banks have total deposits worth Rs 25 lakh crore, out of which Rs 8 to 8.5 lakh crore are credited in savings accounts.
